What happens if there's little snow?
Please check the snow conditions and skiability on the home page of our website 2 days before your arrival.
We will do our utmost to ensure that our lessons take place in the best possible conditions, even if the resort is only partially open.
Only if the resort is closed due to lack of snow will we offer you the option of relocating your lessons to La Bresse, 15km from Gérardmer (if La Bresse is open), if you agree with our Gérardmer instructors, or else a credit note or a full refund of your lessons.

Can parents attend their children's sessions at Club Piou-Piou and Jardin d'Enfants?
Staying "hidden" behind a slalom pole to watch your child: it's only human, your little one will spot you quicker than you think and this could trigger tears or stop them wanting to ski and have fun with their new friends!
Instead, ask for a short report at the end of the session. We've got your mobile number, so if there's a problem or you're really upset, we'll contact you as soon as possible.

Will my child receive a medal?
Friday is assessment day. Each child will be presented with a medal by the instructors to end the week with a moment of conviviality.
For all weekly group lessons, the medal is included in the price of the lesson, except for one-off group lessons and private lessons.
I have two children. Is it possible for them to share the same instructor for private lessons?
Yes, private lessons can include several students as long as they are of a similar level and age. As a general rule, we do not mix children and adults in the same lesson.
Does the ESF lend out equipment?
No, you need to bring the right equipment for your discipline. There are several ski hire outlets close to the start of the pistes.
I've never skied before. Can I sign up for the Snowboard course?
Yes, they are 2 completely different disciplines and it is possible to start snowboarding without ever having skied (private lessons from 7 years old and 10 years old in group lessons).
Do I need protection?
Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended.

Are snowshoe outings accessible to all?
Barring any medical problems, the outings are open to everyone from the age of 7 (children must be accompanied by an adult).
Which shoes for snowshoeing?
Mountain boots are the best equipment. Afterskis and snow boots are fine (but not snowboard boots, which are too stiff, or moon boots, which are too wide).
