ADVICE FOR PARENTS

What happens if there's little snow?
Please check the snow conditions and skiability on the home page of our website 2 days before your arrival.
We will do our utmost to ensure that our lessons take place in the best possible conditions, even if the resort is only partially open.

Only if the resort is closed due to lack of snow will we offer you either to relocate the lessons to La Bresse resort, 15km from Gérardmer, if you agree with our Gérardmer instructors, or a credit note or a full refund of the lessons.

HOW SHOULD I DRESS MY CHILD?
  • Jacket and overalls or a warm, waterproof ski suit.
  • Mittens rather than finger gloves and a hat.
  • Helmets are strongly recommended.
  • Mask or sunglasses (attached with a cord).

WHAT EQUIPMENT FOR YOUR CHILD?
  • Shoes: the right size! Not 3 sizes larger if you plan to wear 2 pairs of socks as well as tights: that's a mistake!
  • Skis: tips level with the chin. Trust the professionals to adjust the safety bindings to your child's weight.
  • Poles: from the 1st Etoile in Alpine skiing and for Nordic skiing, poles are needed from the very first lessons.
  • Helmet: recommended for Alpine skiing and compulsory for snowboarding.
  • If you buy the equipment, bear in mind that your child will grow up, so the settings will no longer be valid from one year to the next!
  • Make sure you have the right ski pass for your level.
Come 10 minutes before the start of the lesson.
